Gbalu Medical Outreach
March 2007
– The medical outreach was to Gbalu Village in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State. People from six other adjoining villages also came for medical attention during the outreach. Over 200 people came with various ailments, ranging from malaria cases, Gastroenteritis, to skin diseases. There was massive de-worming exercise for children and adults alike. Also carried out was general blood pressure check-up on all adults that came for the outreach. Those
discovered to have high blood pressure were counseled and advised to seek medical attention at the hospital. Health Education Programme was carried out on personal hygiene and environmental sanitation. A film was shown on HIV/AIDS,
titled, “Breaking the Silence,” which was translated in Hausa language.

Gospel Outreach to Lambatta Village in Niger State.
April 2007 – MARSI undertook a gospel outreach to the Headquarters of Prevailing Christian Gospel Mission, Lambata, Niger State. This outreach was aimed at encouraging the Head Missionary, as such MARSI made donations of toiletries, food items, and clothing to the mission field.

Assisting Missionaries
June 2007 – Following our visit of April, we saw the need to support the mission with a
Motorbike that will aid the Missionary, who was trekking several kilometers to reach the different mission fields under him.

Medical/Clothing Outreach to Dangelme
November 2007 – We embarked on a Medical/Clothing outreach to Dangelme in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. People from the surround villages also came during the outreach and they were all
attended to.
Over 400 people came with various diseases and were attended to, and de-worming exercise was also carried out. Drugs were distributed freely and the medical services were undertaken at the expense of MARSI. Clothes were distributed to people.Health Education Programme was carried out through health talks on personal hygiene and environmental sanitation. A film on HIV/AIDS, which was translated in Hausa language, was shown.

Kubi Medical Outreach
April 2008 – MARSI organized a
medical outreach in Kubi village in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area in Bauchi State. During the outreach, a film on HIV/AIDS was shown. Free medical
services and public enlightenment campaigns were embarked upon. The medical team comprised of Doctors, Pharmacists, Nurses and other Volunteers who attended to about 420 people. Medical advices, de-worming exercise, and health
education talks were carried out. The welfare unit of MARSI and other partners distributed clothing to the villagers.

Agamati (Sanga LGA) Medical Outreach
November 2008 – A two day medical outreach was embarked on to Agamati in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, North West Nigeria. Over 500 people were attended to. Blood pressures of the adults were checked and de-worming
exercises were also carried out. There was a film show on HIV/AIDS awareness.
